Hello, and on behalf of the Bloodwake members and administration, I would like to welcome you.
Bloodwake is a Dark Fantasy literate role play, and is definitely suited better with advanced role players. Of coarse, we also work on building people's literacy here, so anyone is welcome to join. We would like to make everything as simple and easy for you as possible, so we have dedicated ourselves to keeping our members happy. Every opportunity to improve your role playing experience will be taken.
Remember, if you have some questions or are unsure of what to do, any of our members would be glad to help, including the administration. Also take a look through The Roost, once we gather more members, it will be likely that the questions you have are already answered.

Rules
Please note that repeated offenses to our rules will be noticed, and will be considered a punishable issue. Depending on the intensity of your offense, you will be banned for various lengths of time. Banning includes your file on the site, and the IP address of your computer.
I. Please, no pornographic or graphic photos, videos, or any other forms of showing this content off. Remember, there are children who can view this board, and no one needs to see it. This is a punishable offense. Anyone caught doing anything of such nature will be banned for two weeks.
II. Please, do all in your power to keep peace in Bloodwake. That includes insulting members or guests viewing the forum, or trying to pick any fights. This makes the forum unpleasant, and diminishes the possibility of enjoyment. Friendly criticism is one thing, but keep it just that.
III. All signatures must be 450px X 250px or smaller. Anything larger will be either removed by an administrator, or resized. This includes writing. Please, if you are going to place writing in your signature, try and keep it size 4 or under.
IIII. There is absolutely no advertising of any kind within the forum, excluding the Affiliates section. Any advertising found around the forum where it shouldn't be will instantly be considered spam, and will be deleted. Which ever member did it will be banned for a week. If a guest did it, their IP address will be blocked immediately.
V.Higher ranks on this forum are a privilege, not a right. If you wish to fill the administrative positions, you must either PM me, or another administrator. Give a detailed description of why you believe you are qualified, and your ideas, and you will be considered. We have every right to turn you down if we feel you are not suited. These positions will not be given out right away; You must first prove that you are literate, and you can maintain an active style.
VI. If you are lucky enough to gain enough trust for me to allow you into a higher rank, you will receive powers that the other members do not have, such as locking threads and deleting messages. If you abuse your power, your rank will be instantly taken away from you, and you will loose almost all of the trust you had. This is your only warning.
VII. Spam, it is absolutely one of the most annoying things about forums. Spam destroys the fun for everyone, and is a highly immature way to act, and I will not tolerate it. First chance, you will get a warning, second chance, I will ban you for a week. If it happens again after that, you will be permanently banned. Having a little fun is alright, but if you go out of your way to upset the other members, I will stop it, or one of the administrators will.
VIII. Absolutely no God-modeling, powerplaying, or acting like your characters are stronger and better then everyone else's. If your in a battle, don't take control of the other role-player's character, or dodge every blow tossed at you. You can't do that. Its physically impossible, and it ruins the fun for the other members. Just don't do it.
IX. Mild language is not a big problem, because it goes along with the theme of the site. If you slip up occasionally, its not a big deal. Just remember, these boards are viewable by everyone. As far as Chat-speak, there is no issue with it, as long as it is kept in the C-box. If I start seeing Chat-speak on the boards, or other administrators do, it will be dealt with.
X. Stealing, in no way shape or form, will ever be tolerated at Bloodwake. That means graphics, as well as role play characters and speech. If you are caught stealing, no matter how minor it is, you will be permanently banned.
XI. Yes, the main goal at Bloodwake is to establish friendships. But, even so, you, I, and every other role player on Bloodwake must be wary. If another role player asks you to meet them outside of the internet, I expect a PM from you. Role playing over the internet is one thing, but meeting them in person is a whole other story. You don't know who they are, how old they really are, or weather they are who they said. Period. It is dangerous to get involved in situations like that, and if that ever happens, it must be discussed before any actual consideration is put into it.
XII. Since this is a fairly literate role play, Each member is expected to create posts that are at least ten sentences long. With the exception of writer's block, there is no other reason why your posts should be any shorter than that. Everyone here is creative, and we all have enough intelligence to keep and maintain an interesting role play.
XIII. Yes, the corniest rule, but one of the more important ones. Whats the point if theres no fun in it? Please, try and keep the site clean, safe, and fun for everyone. Thats the whole point of forums being created in the first place.
I. If you wish to affiliate with Bloodwake, note that your site must have a similar theme to that of this site. Werewolves, humans, Vampires, Hybrids, ghosts, or almost any other mythical creatures will be accepted.
II. Before we will place your banner up, we will check your site, and see if our banner is placed in a visible area on the main page. If our banner is not up, then your affiliation request will be deleted and ignored.
III. To have a proper affiliation, your site must be a Role play of some kind. Proboards and invisionfree are the two most commonly used sites to build our affiliation sites. The site must be laid out in a professional manner, and must be at least semi-literate.
V.You must have an affiliation banner, and must provide the code for us to place up, or your affiliation request will be deleted and ignored. Please keep the banner 88 px by 31 px, or an administrator will resize it before placing it up.
VI. Keep your post simple. Don't add extra fonts or colors into your post, because it actually takes away from the professional quality of your work, and it will be unlikely that you will be accepted.

If you have been exploring the forum and have noticed the information tables underneath every avatar are different, then you've caught on quickly. Your Victim Count will only get higher if an administrator sees you deserving of it. The Victim Count is considered the respect you have earned in the eyes of the other members. The other five new additions, Health, Bloodlust, strength, skill, and intelligence will increase depending on your post count, different amounts for each section.
